Letting go of my anger
Hi, im new here.
I am a survivor of past abuse. Although, I wouldn't call me a 'survivor' yet, as my past has ran and ruined most of my life.
I am angry with God about everything. How I've tried to start my life again, over and over and never have I been successfully stable. I worked with
God on our relationship, but over the years, it has deteriorated. I am angry for the situation my depression has put me in, angry that I cannot seem
to beat this, even when I try to do it right with Him. I can't get this Christian thing right.
I've felt bad about all my anger, frustration and feelings of abandonment toward God. I'm in therapy but I still can't seem to shake it. I have
tried praying about it, but I hardly pray anymore. I am secluded in my life, no friends, no real connections..because my condition is so bad. I am
completely lost, and hopeless.
I was hoping for anyones input and/or reading material that might be helpful. Also, just a companion(s) to connect via internet.
**I am also angry about searching for a good therapist. This last one recommended ECT after just a month or two with her, and She's Chrisitian. Talk
about a downer...

I hope you are serious about letting go your anger. It is clear that bitterness has already set in and that
is a mental attitude sin, which only compounds your problem.
When we deal with people, who like us are also imperfect, we often run into problems that run deep in them
as well as our unresolved issues. It can get complicated.
There are some verses that may be interesting to you;
Isaiah 1:18 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%201&version=KJV;AMP;NKJV
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as
snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
As I see it, this verse tells us that God is willing to hear our input on given situations. I know I have spent a lot of time
just talking to Him, and telling Him everything that I could think of that might stand between Him and me, and this is why;
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Psa 41:4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
Psa 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight:
Psa 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Psa 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psa 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Perhpas there is something you have not confessed, and He is not hearing your prayers? It is easy to overlook
things, but if you are not praying at all, you have some catching up to do. In 1 John 1:9 it says IF we confess our
[known] sins, He is faithful and just to cleanse us of all unrighteousness, which I believe is sins we have committed
but do not yet recognize as sin.
Isaiah 9:6 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah%209&version=KJV;AMP;NKJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall
be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The KJV puts a comma between Wonderful and Counsellor, but I do not believe it should be there. I believe it should
read "Wonderful Counsellor". At any rate this verse says He is our Counsellor, and it is to Him [Jesus/God] that I
tell my thoughts to. As I see it, as I talk with Him, I have the opportunity to tell Him everything that is in my head,
thereby unloading all that is weighing me down.
A relationship of any kind requires communication. If you have prayed the prayer for Salvation you are a Christian, which
means you have a personal relationship with the very Son of God! This makes you Royalty.
My grandson tells me that he "just talks to God". He menas he does not necessarily kneel in prayer, he talks with Him where
ever he may be, whether in school or at play. Children instinctivly know that God hears them.
If you can find a way to just talk all that has happened to you in your past and ask Him to help you move forward from it,
He will. He has helped me in so many ways down through my life's experience that I can not even remember all that He has
done. If He will do this for one person who asks, He will also do it for you.
We are told; Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
It is in hearing or reading the Word of God that we gain confidence in it and thereby faith.
I think faith is having confidence that God has already accomplished that He has promised us, and it is up to us to wait until
He delives us into His presence for our eternal rest in Him.
The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders.... because they did not receive the love
of the truth, that they might be saved." 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
Christ said; "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
Christ did not die to make bad men good; He died to make dead men live.

Yes David31030, which of us has not felt this way at one time or another?
I am a witness to the fact that when we confess our anger and resentment to God, He forgives us, and we can then move on with our life in Him.
Now I am curious if you are saying my answer was done in resentment. I do not see it as such and it was not meant to reflect resentment, so please
explain yourself.
By the way, welcome to Christian Support.
